Eleanor wound up unexpectedly having today off, and spent it as only a true gardener does- hauling seedlings to the greenhouse and working on the lawn.
Since I got WALL-E back in action last weekend, he's had plenty of a workout, as have I pushing him about. So much so, that when Eleanor took a round of mowing with him, she wondered if he was in need of some sharpening. Online references mentioned some kind of automotive goop, which wound up being completely out of stock in two tries, so she wound up back at good ol' Ed Youngs. They sold her a sharpening kit off their floor sample for five whole bucks, and several ounces of its own goop and numerous cranks of the cylinder later, he's munching and crunching far better than he had been.
While she was fixing and then working with him, I used his whirling dervish of a brother to weed-whack major sections of the back yard. I also laid in simple provisions for the dinner that Em and I are gonna fix for Eleanor tonight.
Happy Mothers Day to all, and especially to her:)
