Prettying up the place
Jan. 1st, 2010 03:17 pmI'd been with the same journal layout for years, and it had gotten a little old, so I switched to something a bit different while still keeping things more or less in the same places. The link list has also been updated (eep, there were links to Hometown AOL blogs on there, which got killed off ages ago). I know most people never see this, but I do constantly, so it was about time. Some favorites of many (such as Things I Learned From My Patients) are now on there. As is my disappointingly low Books Read list, and a tag list- hey, guess I better start using those again, huh.
Just got back from my first gym visit in the three weeks since Eleanor's accident, which coincided with my feeling that I'd pulled something in my right arm or shoulder. It's gotten better, though it's still there (as is some residual Pain In The Ass from my pratfall the other day), but at least cardio doesn't seem to make it any worse.
Another college application is out in the ether: RISD, this time. I find it awesomely cool that my kid is considering the alma mater of Talking Heads.
Supplement to the last post for the Dexterites here: I vaguely remembered that Roy "Captain Bridger" Scheider starred in 2010, but I'd forgotten that John Lithgow is one of the other lead actors, as is a much younger-than-the-Queen Helen Mirren. I've netflixed it, and it should be fun.
