Since it's seemed that every East Coast post of the past few days has mentioned nasty weather, and every baseball game I've watched/listened to from NY or PHI has had a rain delay or the threat of one, I thought it best to check the forecast for my trip into that area beginning day after tomorrow.

The following logo appears for each of the next three days, including the first of my two final pilgrimages to Shea on Wednesday night:

I'm not sure if that's a weather prediction or just a sign of Long Island's frightening existentialism.

I'm also amused that the forecast page at Newsday.com is supported by a meteorological site titled "The Weather Underground, Inc."  You know the hippies have lost when their revolutionary organizations start incorporating for tax purposes.

Speaking of hippies: a co-worker of Eleanor's lent us Barbarella. Oh. My. God. If anything exemplifies "so-bad-it's-good," this would be it.

Aaaaw

If you're looking for "so bad it's good", I would recommend Dragon Wars: D-War. SO BAD. SO HILARIOuS.

Boy are you right! It's right up there in my Top Ten of So Bad it's Good. Along with the "Wild World of Batwoman."

I was AMAZED, when attending a game the other night, that the Hickory Crawdads (a Pirates farm team) and the Columubus Catfish finished up the last 2 innings in a downpour. They were certainly braver than the crowd, myself included.
