It came for me today....



At the start of the fifth full month of my forty-ninth year....



My AARP membership card.

This is just the tease, though. My full Member Benefits package will be coming soon.

Resistance is futile. Eleanor is slightly older than moi, and has been studiously ignoring them. Still, they come. Treading in the night. Carrying insurance cards, boxes of Depends and Poli-Grip.

Kill me now.

Hahah!!! I remember, my parents were THRILLED to get their AARP memberships. Dad is three and a half years older than mom, so he obviously got there first, and she was insanely jealous.

Just think of the discounts! There's some awesome stuff to be had when you get old.
