Some do twitters. I do trivia.
Jan. 19th, 2008 06:43 amWell, not much anymore. I used to play almost every night in various AOL rooms and hosted several games a week. But on the odd occasion I do catch a game these days, I'll still get an evil thought in there.
So it went the other day, when someone made mention of the "Kennedy triathalon." Turns out they meant this- a DC-area 50-mile road race, begun in 1963 as one of many such events encouraged by JFK's fitness movement and the only one that's been run every year since.
Not knowing that at the time, I speculated on what a "Kennedy triathalon" would consist of:
a 1.5 kilometre swim in the Chappaquiddick River, a 40 km limo ride, and a 10 km run with the finish line in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel.
----
Staying on the subject of Dead Kennedys, here's a quick link for anyone in or close to the DC area who might want to visit RFK's namesake stadium one last time before it gets torn down:
Carbon Leaf, Great Big Sea at RFK Stadium on March 18
I'll leave it for others to tilt about whether either of them belongs at an Irish music festival, and I don't think either of them translates all that well to that big a venue. Still. It's THEM.
