I've stayed remarkably silent about the whole business from last week about Hillary declaring for the nomination. I'm still undecided about the question of whether she's unelectable (and no, defeating two marginal U.S. Senate candidates I can't even name doesn't prove that), I'm worried about how chameleon-like some of her positions seem to be, and I'm annoyed that she didn't give the voters of her ::koff:: own state the courtesy of telling us she was gonna do this before running for a second Senate term. (I mean, c'mon, Hil. We re-elected Alan Fucking Hevesi over a credible opponent. You would've still kicked the ass of Schneider from One Day at a Time or whoever it was you were running against.)

And yet I shall keep my counsel about her, at least for now. Frankly, I'm more worried about Bill. He's the one with the track record, the established public hate, the one whose misdeeds will be all over the tabloids and talk shows, be they past or (hopefully not) future. Having already beaten Obama to the distinction of being America's first black President (dubbed that by nobody less than Toni Morrison), we now have to contemplate the significance of his possible ascension into history as America's first male First Lady.

Contemplate away.
