- Apple, announcing today it will be ending iTunes syncing of calendars and contacts between iPhones and Outlook PCs, and has already "deprecated" support for it- the only feature I really use this Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Jobs for in the first place:

- Websites that say that such-and-such movie is "streaming on X" when what they really mean is it is "streaming on Y which X will give you a five- or seven-day trial of but after that you're paying," or "available as a rental on AmaXon Prime," or "offered as a premium purchase to DiXney+ subscribers and we won't tell you how much until you sign up;"
- Umpire Angel Hernandez, on general principles.

Some Clients, Ugh

First he bitched out my Client Services Manager. Then I called him and he literally was talking over me and not listening. At some point I pulled a Kamala Harris on him. "Excuse me, I. Am. Speaking." :D
But it doesn't take much lately for me to identify CRAZY when I hear it. This guy has booked his dog 4 times in the last 2 years. I was going to lose nothing here I wanted to keep and CAN YOU IMAGINE if a boarding stay was not perfect in future??
I told him I would be more than happy to refund the deposit and in return I expected him to NEVER CALL US AGAIN.
He said, "You've just lost a customer!"
My reply? "I certainly hope so."
And I hung up.
Then I called Christine and made sure she was ok after the mauling she took.
Ugh.

First thing Monday, office calls. Client got served. I look it up. Only a summons. That's unusual, but permitted. I tell him I'll file an appearance which will get me the formal complaint. He says, fine, send me your bill.
I file it, and within an hour I GET the formal complaint. Against my guy and about 800 others. Essentially it's a "New York State looking for change in sofa cushions" case. I tell him to choose between A (pay me a little and offer some money) and B (pay me more and we'll fight it). He goes with C- I don't wannt do either so I'll handle it myself.
He'll lose. He'll blame me. I'm working on raising him to a higher circle of stupid than that which he now occupies.
