At least the new floor feels nice against my feet whilst banging my head into the wall....

Today began.... about as miserably as I could ever want it to.  Nothing to do with home or family, other than home being the place I had to infect the air with the phone call in question, but ye gods.

The day's gotten better. Well, except for having a five-hour layover between appointments out of town today and having just committed to coming back here for another day of fun and adventure in just under 48 hours.

In between those is my birthday, so, yeah, there's that.
