Yours, mine and ours
Jul. 20th, 2010 08:27 amDuring the morning announcements in church on Sunday:
Me: And my beloved Eleanor is having a birthday this week. Can I tell them how old?
(This, after a couple just announced their 53rd wedding anniversary.)
She (after poking me): Of course you can.
Me: Why, 29, of course. And I've been with her for 23 of them.
Make that 24 as of this morning. We've come long ways, baby. Just in this past year, we've accomplished so much, and witnessed our daughter begin her own new generation of accomplishments, and we've done it all surrounded by a soundtrack of wonderful music, a garden of beauty, and plenty of play and laughter around all the serious stuff.
Also in that year, she's begun journaling in her own write, with as many good things to say, and way more good pictures to accompany them, as I have to share here.
You know her as
plantmom.
I love you, Eleanor.
Happy birthday:)
