Day 15- Favorite female character

I said the male couldn't be someone from an ensemble, right? Right. But George from Dead Like Me is not someone IN an ensemble cast. She’s the heart of a series SURROUNDED by an ensemble cast.

Don’t get me wrong. I have serious joneses all the way around for these guys. Rube rocks, Roxy takes nothing from nobody, Mason will steal your heart and likely sell it for drug money on a street corner, even Daisy did okay taking over from Betty when Rebecca Gayheart got all funny in the head,  but this was George’s gig.  Her death. Her fam. Her quirky job. By the time the sortasequel came about and to an end, her responsibility for far more of what happens.

Why Ellen Muth is not on every third channel, and whole stables of imbeciles are, is beyond me. Why Bryan Fuller can’t catch a break with a series, likewise.

George Lass has sass. If you can take a projectile toilet seat in stride, pretty much the rest of your afterlife has to be okay. She and Dexter would make a fun couple, no?

I just caught the second episode whilst waiting for the Co-Conspirator at the doctor's office. George Lass was a fantastic character, brilliantly portrayed by Ellen Muth. Hell - when you see her on the elevator in her work dress, one foot turned inward in discomfort, you know more about the character than you'd learn in pages of exposition.

Sadly, I haven't seen her in anything since.

Her deadpan voiceovers were hilarious.
