As part of the digitization of medical records in the US health care reform bill, it was announced today that the Secretary of Health and Human Services has suspended the recordkeeping requirements of HIPAA, a medical-privacy statute universally hated by doctors, patients and pretty much everyone except trial lawyers.
In its place is a Digital Era statute designed to take care of all such messy complications: the Computer Language Interactive Privacy Application Act, otherwise known as CLIPAA. Mandatory installation of the app will occur automatically as part of the next scheduled Windows Update to your computer. A sample CLIPAA interaction is displayed below:

Mac users will be fined until they download the app for that.
