Longish Days and Pretty Nights
Jun. 16th, 2010 09:32 pmI wasn't supposed to be out of town all week. So naturally, I was: new client needed to see me yesterday, settled for today.
Left friend's office a bit past noon. Hit pouring rain on Park Avenue in Rochester 10 minutes after that. Had to pull over to escape the flooding street and blinding rain on windshield.
Not three minutes after it let up enough to proceed? Arrived downtown in brilliant sunshine. Still humid enough to fog my glasses the second I stepped out of the car.
Home by 4 (much less Foggy Glasses Breakdown), Eleanor's now-famous Murray's chicken and rice for dinner, Thank You For Smoking (same director as Juno) on the DVD.
An hour or so ago, we noticed it was pouring. AGAIN. Also, that the sun was out. AGAIN. At the same time, this time.
Which resulted, as it usually does, in....

Forget "wait a minute." If you don't like the weather here, just turn 30 degrees or so.
Not everything today was good, but enough was. Life's kinda like that.
