Moms and Proms
Jun. 1st, 2010 08:56 pmThe Mom is the fictional one to your left (or right, depending on your style system):
Wow. One episode to go, and LOTS to be resolved for Jacks:
Good on Zoey for saving somebody's life and embarrassing a vampire at the same time:)
Akalitus is getting more and more human every week.
My, did Coop's nose heal fast, particularly considering how much it was GROWING when he was in the pharmacy with Sam.
Methadone Guy was kinda lost on me, unless they've got some role for him in the finale next week.
Clearly, though, the ep was a masterful Laying Of Trap for Our Heroin(e), whose family doesn't even suspect the half of it, and who gets to start her recovery in Upstate New York ::shudder::
----
The whole prom ablum is on Facebook; email me if you want the link (pesky Privacy Policy issues keep me from just posting it here), but a sampling follows:

The Offish-kul Prom Portraitâ„¢, and one which really brings out Cameron's smile.
----

One of the ones I took when they got to our house; I like Emily's smile in this one especially.
----

Cam's aunt helping with the corsage; his mom, helping with, well, whatever guys' moms help them with;)
----

This might be our favorite of the two of them:)
----
From here, Eleanor took over at the friend's house where the limo was picking them up:

The belles of the ball, along with one older sister playing the part of Lady Not Appearing In This Prom. One who was, is a little self-conscious about being photographed; I know why, yet I don't, since she's been in Em's classes since elementary school and is one of the coolest kids you'll ever meet (she's in the percussion section in the band, which is always where the Wild Kids were back in my day). Every time Rachel tried to excuse herself from the range of the camera, her friends insisted on waiting for her to come back in. Because they're good kids like that.
----

Bruce, in his own way the belle of the ball, is on the group's far right; no repression of preferences in this crowd.
----

Eleanor liked my pictures better than the ones like this that she took. Here's proof that zoom tools, which I don't have on mine, are pretty damn nice to have:)
----
They ate, they danced, they went bowling afterwards. As Jamie Lee Curtis once said, they all Made Good Choices, in their dates, in their actions, in the who's of who they are. I'm thrilled to be a generation removed from, and yet still connected to, such good kids.

Date: 2010-06-03 01:22 am (UTC)As for the Mom part, I'm afraid you've started another post I can't read yet. I'm only on episode 4, season 1. The next four episodes should be here tomorrow, courtesy Netflix.
