(in honour of PBS finally getting round to showing it here on Great Performances)
* Horatio, out. Geronimo!, in.
* "Get thee to a Federation penal colony!"
* New script for The Murder of Gonzago: "To play the king, queen, four.... wait. We've seen this play before."
* Rosencrantz and Guildenstern appear throughout the production in red tunics.
* "To Beeb, or not to Beeb...."
* Hamlet's final line changed to "Today is a good day to die!"
* Ten keeps getting distracted when Laertes tosses off the "Rose of May" line about Ophelia.
* Wil Wheaton added to cast as Hamlet's annoying know-it-all of a little nephew, Egglet.
* Swords replaced in all battles with sonic screwdrivers.
And the final change to the production:
* Hamlet and Claudius spend the final hour on the set of "Inside the Actors Studio," chatting with James Lipton about how bloody hard it is to take over a classic role from another actor and make it your own, knowing full well that someone, eventually, is going to take it over from you.
