I referred the other day to the theme music from Hill Street Blues. Not only did I get the composer wrong- it was Mike Post, not Mike Curb- but only after some Wiki'ing did I realize whose guitar work came in on the original arrangement four measures in, and who built the frabjous bridge I still remember from the Top-40 instrumental single of the theme song:
Larry Carlton, that- who we've only had and loved CDs from for almost as long as we've been married:)
That Youtube also features Larry's contributions to a couple of Steely Dan songs I rather well know, as well as his version of the Crusaders' "Put It Where You Want It," which was the regular bumper music on Imus in the Morning in the early 1970s, back when the I-Man was funny and much less racist.
Rock on.
