So, yeah. Intense few days there.  Two ass-o'clock Rochester morning trips Wednesday and Thursday, the latter predicted to be smack in the middle of Stormzilla XXVVZZIIWhatever, but I got in and out of court in record time and back here before they got their Meh About Average amount for a February snowstorm and we, as usual, got somewhere between diddly and squat. (Naturally, as soon as they called off all the watches and warnings, we promptly got more than we had all week. An inch, maybe?)

Yesterday, little was scheduled, but my brain wound up hurting anyway. Most of it work-stress related, as some of you know. Then a late appointment got cancelled, and I wound up getting to watch the hockey semifinal game with Ryan Miller basically standing around for about two hours until they finally got him off the ice before he hurt himself (most likely from cramping up in the cold). Emily had wanted to go to Wegmans while I did cardio; by the time the game was over, Cameron was due here soon, and she basically said she wanted to run in/run out/no cardio time for YOU, so I offered to pick up her "just a few" items for her.

Ha. Objectively, it was a small order- everything fitting in one grocery bag <<====THIS WILL BE IMPORTANT LATER- but it involved mucking about in the dreaded Health and Beauty aisles, where anything other than MY shampoo, MY deodorant and OUR toothpaste makes ME totally meshuga. Still, it was over and done, so I crossed two parking lots to the gym, flashed my keytag, set down my book and keys on the locker shelf, removed my coat, started to reach for my gym shorts,.... and discovered I'd brought in the azzafrazzin grocery bag instead. Which would have been fine if I could've avoided arrest for indecent exposure by wearing a thin coat of St. Ives blackhead remover. So I simply gave up, headed home, ate, welcomed the BF to the house (as did Tasha- spending almost his entire time here unrestrained and basically indifferent to him, as high a compliment as she can pay any human), and fell down early.

Today, I've pecked a bit at finalizing our taxes (not pretty), did virtually all of my sister's (she's doing much better), heard the brouhaha about MSNBC getting Punkd by a caller pretending to be Sabre/Team USA goalie Ryan Miller guaranteeing a gold medal in the game against Canada tomorrow, shouted assorted curses at Eleanor's printer which still isn't working despite us finding the previous broken part AND getting someone to install it, and generally prepared for tomorrow's end of the month and the Olympiad. Hopefully our men will be the ones doing the Punkng tomorrow, and if they want to smoke cigars and drink beer on the ice, I'll be okay with that at least this once.

ETA. I just noticed that here's what my month-at-a-glance posting history was here for this month:

Yeah, I'd say that, between the death of a dear friend and some real work BS, February was a plenty good month to flip a bird at (or, if you prefer, a hot dog).
