Via [livejournal.com profile] liddle_oldman, by way of [livejournal.com profile] elbiesee, who got it from [livejournal.com profile] agnes....

01) Are you currently in a serious relationship?
She'll be taking the pictures of the roses I got her for our 24th Valentines Day one of these days (the pictures are just as beautiful, last longer and are less likely to be eaten by cats)

02) What was your dream growing up?
To be a writer for a living. Kinda like it still is.

03) What talent do you wish you had?
Piana playing would be awesome. If I could get that left hand/right hand thing going, I'd be able to play at parties and, even better, drown out my own bad singing voice.

04) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
White wine, just because I know how much I can handle (answer: quite a bit if I'm not driving).

05) Favorite vegetable?
This meme is so old, I think I answered "Karen Ann Quinlan" the first time it came around. Eleanor can pretty much put anything in front of me now except an olive or a lima bean and, if she dresses it up with the right cheeses and sauces and sides, I'll eat it.

06) What was the last book you read?
Last finished: The Second Assistant. Last begun: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Last ordered from the library on a certain lemur's reccie: Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (checked out of every library branch in our county).

07) What zodiac sign are you?
"One of those Damn Scorpios," four out of a three-generation family of (originally) seven of us, according to my late sister the Leo.

08) Any Tattoos and/or Piercings? Explain where.
Nothing to explain, although I wouldn't mind a temporary "Lil Bastard" tat after seeing Sunshine Cleaning this afternoon.

09) Worst Habit?
Too many to list, and since being verbose is one of them, I won't.

10) If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride?
If I knew it was anyone here, naturally. If I didn't, and you had a thumb or some similar indicator out, I probably would, anyway.

11) What is your favorite sport?
Beisbol been berry berry good tooo meee.

12) Do you have a Pessimistic or Optimistic attitude?
Forget half empty or half full; I grew up in an atmosphere where we'd worry about splitting our lip on the rim of the glass and bleeding to death. I'm better now.

13) What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me?
Probably face the rear. It's an old Candid Camera trick.

14) Worst thing to ever happen to you?
Death. Fortunately, not mine, yet.

15) Tell me one weird fact about you.
I was born in a Catholic hospital, grew up two blocks from a conservative shul, and was raised (and remain) in a Methodist church, which probably explains my confusionism.

16) Do you have any pets?
Two dogs and three cats rather have us at the moment.

17) What if I showed up at your house unexpectedly?
Make some stray reference to the Spanish Inquisition, probably.

18) What was your first impression of me?
Impressive. That goes for both Les and Lor.

19) Do you think clowns are cute or scary?
Can't sleep; clowns will eat me. Can't sleep; clowns will eat me.

20) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?
I'd like my college metabolism back, please. That would change how I look a whole lot.

21) Would you be my crime partner or my conscience?
The conscience part would try to talk you out of the crime, but the partner, instinctively, would show up in court to bail you out. At a much higher fee, of course.

22) What colour eyes do you have?
Still blue after all these years.

23) Ever been arrested?
I went to jail in high school once.  For a comedy show. Even for us it was hard to get out.

24) Bottle or can soda?
Neither. Both are ripoffs; what other product charges you no more than 2 bucks (69 cents plus tax and deposit on sale) for a 2-liter bottle, but never less than $1.50 for a 20-ounce bottle and never a can unless it's in a six-pack?

25) If you won $10,000 today, what would you do with it?
That's just about how much I need to hand over in April, between the remaining tax bill and my maximum IRA contribution.

26) What's your favorite place to hang out at?
These four walls. Especially with these other seven souls inside them.

27) Do you believe in ghosts?
Hang on. Let me ask Gertrude, who died in our previous home before we bought it and liked us enough to move the 70 miles with us and rattle our cabinets every few days.

28) Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
Give me some and I'll spend most of it trying to find something.

29) Do you swear a lot?
Fuck yeah.

30) Biggest pet peeve?
Hell, I just spent two days in and around New York City on its highways, listening to its sports talk hosts and caller honks on the radio. I can't even narrow THAT down to a single one.

31) In one word, how would you describe yourself?
Loved.

32) Do you believe/appreciate romance?
It's like (but is definitely not IN) pornography. As Mr. Justice Stewart explained, I know it when I see it; and I do.

33) Favorite and least favorite food?
Chorklit matter and chorklit anti-matter (see 05 above).

34) Do you believe in God?
The more important thing is, does He believe in me? I'm occasionally agnostic about that but after the past few days, I'm surprisingly good with it.

35) Will you repost this so I can fill it out and do the same for you?
Well duh, YOU already have, so what's the point.

For some reason, I find it odd that you don't like olives. Not sure why.

And you ARE a writer...just not paid for it yet.

And yes, I believe I might kill for my college and/or high school metabolism back.
