This should be the last word from the home front before my return to the former home front.
Weather permitting, anyway.
I leave today after a 1:30 hearing that, I am promised, won't go more than two hours. After a pit stop in Rochester around 4:30, I should be to Binghamton by 7 tonight.
So far, so good, according to the weather reports.
Greater Noo Yawk is getting (for them) bombed with snow as we speak. Assuming that little Love Tap From the Lord is over by tomorrow, I will get to the funeral home by roughly 2 on Thursday afternoon, and will be in the company of friends until 9:30. I have a room on Sunrise Highway for the evening along with a few others who are coming in from out of town.
Doug and the boys have invited people over for a less formal gathering at their house on Friday afternoon. I'm not sure I can hold out for that- I wouldn't get all the way home Friday night, for sure, and I still have an all-day Saturday class to attend or postpone- but, as with all the rest of this, I'll just play it by ear.
