::cue power chords, drum kit and exploding dry ice::
You get up
But want to fall back down
You need to drink enough coffee
To make a grown man drown
And I know
Just exactly how you feel
You share my 'morning person' hatred
That's undeniably real
I see you waking up down there
There's pancakes cookin' on the griddle machine
Not fit for others to be seein'
Can't you see what I mean?
Might as well wear black (BLACK!)
Or something darker than black
An absorbing black hole of black
Might as well wear black!
Now go on, on politics we very rarely agree
And yet we've somehow found it in us to sit down and see
That there's value in the feelings on the other side
And laughter always bridges that gap and keeps the friendship alive
I see you sitting in the house
Some LJ meme on the PC machine
Or Facebook statuses you're seein'
Can't you see what I mean?
Might as well wear black (BLACK!)
Or something darker than black
An absorbing black hole of black
Might as well wear black!
GUITAR SOLOOOOOOOOOO!
So I heard, that's it's your birthday today
It's in your LJ user name (you're kinda subtle that way;)
And I hope, you take to heart we wish very
Birthday hugs, love and wishes to you our dear friend Terri
I see you celebratin' there
There's Dexter playin' on the video machine
He's tryin' not to be seen
Can't you see what I mean?
Might as well wear black (BLACK!)
Or something darker than black
An absorbing black hole of black
Might as well wear black!
Happies to

Date: 2010-01-18 08:47 pm (UTC)I think "pancakes cookin' on the griddle machine" is my favorite line.
So, I told her on Saturday that I had a "big surprise" for her, but wouldn't tell her anything about what it pertained to. She was totally stumped and wondering what was going on. I wrapped up the DVD in penguin paper. :-) She loved it and thought the card was adorable. I'd give anything if you and your fam could've been at the party!!
