A blue moon, that is.

The thing seemed awfully close to full as we were coming home last night. Turns out this is the first time in 20 years that we've managed two of them in a calendar month, and we won't see one again until four years after When I'm 64.

To celebrate, in addition to the rather obvious icon, here's the sweetest song about the phenomenon you will ever likely hear. I knew it originally as a Nanci Griffith tune, although she didn't write it, but this version is from a Catskill duo of chanteuses who we got to know in the very early 90s when they were performing together as Amy & Leslie. They went their separate ways, but I just found out that they've reunited and are back doing shows again:
