Actually, though, maybe this year it wouldn't hurt to hear it afresh.

You lost so much this year. Still, so much remains. Much of it in who you are and in what you do and, especially for those who've never met you in person, in what you write.

Just as you were so memorable to our mutual friend who remembered you from long ago and far away, your words, and your inspirations, make you memorable, and they give those memories life, and power, and sweetness.
