LJ comments have been wonky for the past day or so. No problem, though, since I have plenty of other people getting in touch with me.

I have a full two-drawer legal-sized filing cabinet, almost three feet wide, holding all of my active ACTIVE case files. There's a storage room for probably a backlog three times that, which are either recently closed or almost ready to close. For some reason, yesterday I heard from close to a dozen people- clients, opponents, other participants- on the files in Development Hell. If I looked at a file, I got a fax or an email on it. In almost every instance, all I could say was, "there's nothing going on that you/I/my client can/will/has to do right now." I hate having to say that, but often it's the only answer.

A few of them will require actual, genuine responses. Not like I have anything else to do around here, huh.

Only in B-lo could this happen:

Amherst Pepsi Center starts serving Coke

Coca-Cola, that is. Since professional athletes practice there, I'm sure there's already been plenty of the other kind.

Seems the town bid out the "pouring rights" to all town facilities, and the "naming rights" to the municipal hockey arena. Coke won the first bid, but didn't put in a bid on the name, since they just paid major coin to slap the dynamic ribbon on the downtown baseball stadium (you know, the one that everybody still calls Pilot Field anyway). So Pepsi still has the name on the outside, although they may be shamed into just taking it down because of the incongruity of it all.

One of my Facebook finds from high school days, who is turning out to be quite the friend all these years later, has started blogging beyond the 419 characters. I can has made a syndicated feed for it here, so now you can read some seriously good stuff, too, right from the privacy of your own Friendslist:)

Click on the name part of that link, and it will let you "add feed." Only paid and early-adopters may add the optional feed bag in case you want to save any for later.

Barum bum.

What, you want more? It's over. Go home.
