When I turned on the telly the other morning (to watch the rerun of the Daily Show destruction of Glenn Beck that no fewer than three Friends had recommended almost speechlessly), it was set to Skiffy, and there was an old friend I'd not seen in months.
I'd never quite warmed to Ten after rather finding Nine to be, pretty much, all I needed in a Doctor except for a public option to pay for him, but those few minutes of interaction with Martha were enough to get me wanting to catch back up.
God bless 'em, Netflix actually remembered where I'd left off months ago, and moments later I was watching the end of the Torchwood Estate episode and listening to the Princess Anne jokes about there being werewolves in the Royal Fam. By midweek, I'll be done with S2, and then who knows where we'll go?

Date: 2009-11-09 04:38 pm (UTC)Which ep was it that got you back? Just describe the scene you saw; I can probably identify it from that. (Sadly, I can do this with stills sometimes, too. Hi, I'm Mel, and I'm a Whoniverse addict).

Yay! You're back in the doctor mode
Date: 2009-11-11 04:28 am (UTC)I am not a RTD fan, but he brought the Dr. back...Steven Moffat I look forward too. Steven did Weeping Angels, Family of Blood, and in the S4 Silence in the Library. He's makes Dr who a little scary.
I will miss #10. #11 is a little younger, looks like the Twlight guy. But, I'll grow into liking him too, unless he's like Colin Baker, I tend to forget those years and companion Peri and Mel.
Have you caught the Sarah jane Adventures, If you want to watch them online for free, I can give you two links. Wow, the Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith blew me away! David Tennent appearance! I hope my links put The Waters of Mars on this weekend. I have seen the Christmas Special with David Morrisey, and the Easter Special that the new Bionic Woman was in. The Christmas Special/new Years two parter looks wow!
Will the master- John Simms be back? Donna Noble? We know it's David's last show...regeneration.
But, PBS Masterpiece contemporary will give me my David fix, he's hosting.
Rose is okay, not my fave, all gooey eyed love with the Doctor. That's not canon, companions not erotic in love, more of agape love relation. Martha is "transitional" companion, Rebound. Donna ended up being my favorite companon of the new series, right next to Sarah Jane, Romana and Leela...
