Beginning our weekend tonight by pushing SENDAK! With the simply loverly vocal talents of the delightful, the delectable, the Stop It Ray Oh All Right, Lauren Ambrose as KW.  Also also wik Tony Soprano as somebody or other.

Lauren's other long-awaited film role, delayed for unknown reasons earlier this year, is now supposedly out: A Dog Year, in which she plays Emma, the daughter of famed writer Jon Katz. Wait. I know Jon Katz's daughter, and she's also named Emma. What're the odds of THAT?

In other news, I finally broke down today and hired a secretary. The resume simply read O HAI WIL WUK 4 CHZBRGRS:

HBO had planned to release Dog Year for theaters earlier this year, but it got caught in a corporate BS move when its Picturehouse subsidiary got disbanded. So they put it on their own marquee cable channel, where it's presumably running eight times a week between the invariable Babar the Elephant movies or whateverelse shit is on there (sorry, I'm sticking with my Dex and Jacks, Claire- not even a one-shot of you will make me give them up).
