I don't think I ever saw Dirty Dancing. Ghost was sweet but not the top of my Swayze list. He was in a MASH episode, even? (Blood Brothers, season 9), but we don't happen to have that one.

No, we spent much of this evening remembering Patrick Swayze as, in my heart, I think he'd like to be remembered- as Ms. Vida Bohemme, in To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.

Such fun. Such sweetness and yet sadness. Such a shame.

You must see Dirty Dancing, if only to enjoy the glory days of the Borscht Belt.

I should, too, after finding out recently that NPR quiz show host Peter Sagal is the WGA-credited author of the "story" of Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights, even though not a single line of his story wound up in the ultimate script and the most he could even remotely attribute to his original treatment was, maybe, one line of dialog.

I saw that MASH episode. Ironically his character is diagnosed with cancer in that episode.

I don't remember it, which is surprising since I saw most of them 100 times. I also can't seem to find that season on DVD:(
