Hey, ask her.
----
Subtle changes in the past day or so. We have a little fishing-rod type toy which she's adored since day one, flippin, floppin and flyin as we shake it in the air or around her. This morning, I noticed she didn't seem as enthused, slinking away while I was still playing.
I shook it again and she pounced. More slinking away. Then, even after I didn't shake it again, she pounced.
The grrl is learning to hunt.
Not that it's cutting down the cute quotient one little bit. I've missed incredible shots this morning of Zoey drinking out of the dog water bowl (which is maybe an inch shorter than she is), and Zoey sitting in Tasha's food bowl, in the complete confidence that her big sister would never mistake her for a meal.
That, in fact, I can now document with a picture:

Just as significant, the older cats are starting to come out of their weeklong snits. Nobody's sharing a bowl or cuddling up with the n00b just yet, but the hissing is way down and they're starting to re-assume their positions in the house. Michelle even came in to sleep with me after I fed everybody this morning, and I may have even caught her in an ill-advised purr.
All five of them were in the kitchen at the same time this morning. I assure you that won't be the last time THAT will happen.
