Defendant Meets Process Server
Jun. 23rd, 2009 05:06 pmI just got a big batch of filed documents back from a clerk. Most of them are in an area where my process servers have been unreliable, expensive or both, so I decided to check out a new statewide service which sent me a flyer promising prompt, inexpensive turnaround. I'd used them once before for a rather niche form of service, which took a little longer and for which, I was told, I couldn't expect them to honor the One Low Price, so I called to see what my one job of that ilk would cost.
I was put on hold. To the melodious strains of a song that I knew, all too well, as having been used for, well,.... this:
In their defense, I will say that the owner picked up before the foot came down. I'm taking that as a good sign.
