It's bad enough you roped me in after 45 minutes of "Rose."

And hooked me forever with another triquarterhourly dose of "End of the World."

No, when I slithered off after getting home tonight to watch "The Unquiet Dead" with headphones on, so as not to bother the undeflowered spouse who has to be at work at 7:30 tomorrow morning? She wanted to watch, too.

And,.... she likes it! Hey, Charlie!

(Said term of Charlesesque endearment referring to both the Special Guest Star of the third episode, and to Eleanor's brother, who was a fan- "In what way do you resemble a means of keeping oneself cool?"- of the 60s series.)

I do have one parallel universe question, though. How is it that Douglas Adams didn't get upset about "End of the World" ripping off The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, which it ever so plainly did?

ETA. Oh. Right. DNA was already dead. Has it been eight years already? No wonder we're in this bloody handbasket.

Discuss among yourselves. I'm off to fret about the cheap shot Ryan Miller just took that knocked him out of the game.

Douglas Adams was a writer and script editor for Who in the late 70s, right at the end of Tom Baker's run. I don't think he'd have minded. And HHGTG is a pseudo-AU (there's a distinct ref in 'The Christmas Invasion.'

Yay for both of you being hooked! Your next 2 eps are kinda crap, but then you'll get 'Dalek,' the ep which hooked me.
