Footage from yesterday's memorial for Susan. (Apologies for the commercial before the story starts.) Touching, saddening, and other than them misidentifying Gail as Susan's sister Eva about two-thirds of the way through (Jews generally don't wear clerical collars; neither does Gail, actually), professionally done.

I saw the comment about the nutjobs coming in for the weekend. I decline to dignify them with a response, particularly because the chicken assholes tend not to show up for half the "protests" they announce on the Internet.

I liken their stupid hatred to this.

In just about two hours, church bells will ring fifty times. If I'm sober enough to be awake (sobriety being tempered by both recent events and the book I'm currently reading), I shall step outside and listen for them.  I doubt we're close enough to hear any, but it really isn't necessary. I've heard them already in my heart.
