The United States Congress, that august body of Article I titans, which in the past has admitted the likes of Gopher, Arthur Branch and Number Eighty, appears poised to welcome perhaps the most annoying celebrity of them all, from the singularly unannoying state of Minnesota.
Yet as much as he annoys me, I welcome this development, since I know that he annoys the right far, far more:

Yaknow, that faux-serious persona is probably a major source of Stephen Colbert's act. I'm surprised Al hasn't complained.
After all, he once bitched on SNL that Frankenberry cereal was infringing, not only on his name, but on his ass. I mean, just LOOK at the top of that head:
