Never mind the suckiness of the Bills' game, indeed of their entire season.

Forget the convoluted playoff possibilities that will, of necessity, leave at least one 11-5 football team out of the playoffs while possibly admitting an 8-8 team (AND giving it a home game in the first round).

No, today we sing "Hail to the Victors," only backward and at slow speed.

The Detroit Lions have completed their perfectly imperfect 0-16 season.

Thanks must go to the mighty warriors of Green Bay, who never gave up when far better teams had done just that on this cold December afternoon. They manned up at just the very moment the Kittykats of Motown needed to man down.

One can only wonder which wide receiver the Ford Family will select with  their #1 overall pick.

One also wonders how much of the Ford bailout money will wind up directed, however indirectly, to rebuild this team. I don't think trillions would be enough.

Coming up: NFL Commissioner Goodell presents Lions representatives with the My Cousin Vinny trophy. Which the entire population of Michigan will collectively hork into.

Well, I'm guessing that's it for Marinelli and co, then.

Perhaps you should apply for the job? ;) You'd restore discipline by snarking to death anyone who mouthed off... ;)

Bills didn't even try today. And what was that f**ked up end of the 3rd quarter?

No matter...there's always next year, probably with a new coach.

Oh, poor Detroit. On the other hand, we now know that the UT football team has a place to go, if any of them should turn pro.
