We sang one of my favorite carols at the end of church this morning:

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Glo-oooor-oooor-oooo-or-ria, in excelsis Deo!
Deo!
De-o-o-oh-o!
Daylight come and me wan' go home
Day, me say day, me say day, me say day
Me say day, me say day-ay-ay-o
Daylight come and me wan' go home

Okay, I changed it a bit.

Sadly, no one has yet to set that combination to music online, although many bloggers and others have recognized the connection. (I did find one pretty scary-lookin' singer who recorded both songs on consecutive albums.)

Maybe one of my Internet celebrity types- singing or otherwise- could help, yo?

Please. I NEED to get this out of my head before the Messiah at 7.

I have a beautiful live version of the carol on my computer, but it's audio only, and the second bit isn't part of it. My backing band went when I sacked my asshole now-ex-deputy when my deputy resigned from the conference committee, taking his partner (my pianist) with him.

Just start singing "The Wheels on the Bus Go 'Round and 'Round"! That will get any song out of your head. Of course I have no idea how to get the bus song out of your head now. :P
