...as in blowing chunks.

That's about how my lifetime home political party in my lifetime home state is making me feel at the moment.

For the first time since a brief interlude in my teens, New York will have all three "men in a room" belonging to the same political party come next month. Even better, those three will be Democrats.

Or so it seemed, that "even better" part.

There's nothing like victory to get Democrats fighting amongst themselves, and within hours of last month's slight tipping of the prospective State Senate majority from R to D, a "Gang of Four" senators from downstate had already begun using their perceived bloc-voting power as a chance to play Albany's favorite game- "I Me Mine."

Within a few weeks, it was down to a Gang of Three, but that was still enough to potentially tip the scales in a 32-30 electoral game. Earlier today, the poobahs all met in Albany to divide the spoils. This, I am used to. What I'm sickened by, though, is their taking it out on my friends and neighbors. It stinks to high Hudson even for this bunch of idiots, chief among them a Bronx DINO (Democrat in Name Only) by the name of Ruben Diaz:

...the so-called "Gang of Three" made a list of demands, saying that if they were not followed they could vote for the current Republican Majority Leader, Dean Skelos.

Diaz had called for a written pledge that state Senate Democrats would not push for gay marriage next year.

Got that? Not a call for the full Senate to have a fair vote on the measure, as it has never dared to do under GOP rule, but a demand that the matter be kept FROM a vote for yet another year.

Keeping us in the dark ages compared to, now, three of our bordering states and compared to any sense of decency that I can conceive of.

....yeah.

"Disappointed" doesn't begin to describe it.

Wow... you mean GOP politicians aren't the only self-centered ones? Who knew?
