So now they're admitting it was a DDoS attack. Still no sign of progress; if anything, they seem to have backslid, because now I can't even load anything while logged out.

Even stranger is that, although at least a dozen or so LJ Friends have moved over to Dreamwidth, none of them seem to be moving their posts there. Some folks seem to be just falling back on Google+ as a more daily expresser, while others? Just silence.

I miss them. You.

Dreary day today. The rain was coming down as I took the two older cats in for their annual checkups and rabies shots. Michelle, the evil one, got the cleaner of the two bills of health; for all her evildom, she has never had an accident, illness or mysterious disappearance to deal with. Tazzer, our oldest boy, has lost close to a pound, and we're also going to need to start brushing his teeth.

Then, before heading to my office, I realized I have a low tire. I'd filled it a few weeks ago, checked it daily to be sure it was holding, and apparently, it's not. I wonder if the up-and-down of the humidity affects it somehow. So that'll be another drippy walk later today, taking it to be repaired while I'm at a late-afternoon appointment with a client.

I guess I should apologise a little, as my posting has been erratic for all of this year... Although I do (usually) use the excellent cross-posting facility when I *do* get sound to it...

But I read my DW circle before my LJ flist, so maybe if I just comment where I see things first? I'm all for building a greater activity level over here, I'm just failing the implementation!

I've decided to use DW as a fallback when LJ is down. Frankly, I was fairly peeved the first day I was trying to use it and I was getting the same level of responsiveness as I was from LJ, which is to say, pages loading incredibly slowly, if at all, my icons kept vanishing, etc. Frustrating. Not to mention that it needs some exploring, as it is somewhat different from LJ. Now that my pages are loading, I'm reading again.

Google+ suuuuucks. Someone on my list this morning posted some rant about how "if you're seeing this, it's YOUR DUTY(DUTY! DUTY! DUTY!) to provide feedback to Google, because you're a beta tester and the privilege of getting to use this service isn't free!"

It's a problem with the person herself, but it did nothing to make me want to click on my little pig-in-boots icon.
