(because I'm not Handey enough around the house to come up with more)

If a non-evangelical sees a reference to "Benny Hinn" on their cable guide, do they expect to find a minister chasing a half-naked woman around a tree to the accompaniment of Boots Randolph sax music?

HA! This reminds me of my dad, who wouldn't let my sis and I go to movies when we were kids, but watched good ole Benny on late-night telly. Hmmmm......

That preacher was actually based in Orlando before hightailing it out of town several years ago, most likely with the life savings of many one-time followers.

The Hinn compound, not more than a mile and a half from my office, had a big steel sign out front with his name on it, bolted to the granite wall. The N's, in lower case, tempted me daily to sneak up late one night with a hacksaw, chop off the round tops, weld the straight pieces together, and turn them into L's. Good thing I never did - I hear his security people were NASTY.
