Ah, for the days when newspapers were assembled with hot linotype and careful calculation of headline sizes.

Nowadays, it's all done by fancyass computers, so there's no need to do mockups anymore.






We used to post shit like this in the composing room with a perfectly compugraphicked hed like "Typical New York Times paste-up job."

For those keeping score at home: we need to give the freaky, etc. dog a bath. We cannot do this until it stops raining, even though the bath will make her as freaky as the rain does. My hope is to be on road by 2 and at destination by 5:30.

Oh, I don't know...if they left is "as is" it would still be more informative than some papers I've read.

You dog need a bath, and I desperately need to wash and disinfect the litter box. Sigh.
