In the past three nights, we've had, in or around the immediate vicinity of this home:
- Arson (which did not affect us and, therefore, did not turn the dogs into barking maniacs);
- Skunks (at least one shooting his load within three feet of my window, both of which did turn the dogs into barking maniacs);
- Severe thunderstorms (one with smaller-than-this-size hail, all of which turned one of the dogs into a freaky whiny maniac);
- Fer crysake, fireworks (from the direction of UB, suggesting something to do with their crappy football team- an exhibition, perhaps, or maybe this was the night the boys were given their purses and matching pumps- and which, once again, turned the dog all freaky whiny maniacky);
- And a cat. Who awakened me two hours ago by hocking a hairball, which apparently the freaky, etc. dog has now used to calm herself down by eating the gorram thing. (The hairball, that is. Not the cat.)
I'm going back to sleep now.
