A Miss is as Good as a Milestone

captainsblogIn sharing my space the other day for the Good Doctor's strawberries (which nobody has even tried to explain to me, which is probably a good thing), I completely failed to note that said entry was my 2,000th on this journal.
Compared to its anniversary dates, it's so much harder to keep track of the centennial/ quintocentennial/ millennial entries, since they're such moving targets. I solved this problem in past years by nailing my 1,000th entry on the blog's second anniversary, and tried but failed to observe the 1,500th on its third, but this year, I was nowhere near 2K on the April date and somehow lost track of the trail sometime between then and, well, almost now.
Oh well. Your reading, and commenting, and being parts of my lives are still just as important as if there'd been a fancy-ass ceremony today ::hugs one and all::
