Hurrah for Great Dental Hygiene

I took Emily to the dentist today. In keeping with an apparent Flist theme today, no cavities!

But.

X-rays were taken, and despite prior extractions for orthodontia, her wisdom teeth are soon to be goners.

If that means that she's now reached the apex of her maturity, where does that leave me?

I Netflixed something of a reach the other day: Time after Time, a Nicholas Meyer reworking of H.G. Wells's Time Machine story.  I remembered it rather fondly from when it first came out.

Some stones are best left unturned. At best, it came across as a bad Streets of San Francisco episode. For a few minutes, it was fun MST3Kizing it, but even that wore out before long.

Meanwhile, the far better Time and Again property remains in development hell.

Yes, some movies are so bad that even making fun of them loses it's appeal.

No hockey for you, no basetball championship for UT Vols. I guess I can still hope for UNC.

I don't normally recommend (I think I spelled that wrong...) films to people, but I saw the most unexpectedly awesome cop movie the other day; Hot Fuzz. Its British, which always helps, and is full of unexpected people like Timothy Dalton and Peter Jackson (good luck finding him without IMDb). It was suggested by Duck's aunt, who is usually not wrong but in this case I was skeptical since I don't really like cop movies. This, however, was just hilarious, and therefore I recommend it. :D
