Our local paper usually doesn't post story updates on the front page of its website unless it's really big breaking news.
Well, Hillary won the Nevada caucuses, and the news was breaking out all over. Here's the picture our editors chose:

AP Photo
Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y. greets cocktail waitresses during a campaign stop at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on caucus day in Las Vegas, Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008.
Note how closely cropped the picture is. My guess is that Bill is either underneath one of the two of them or passed out in a puddle of his own drool over to the right.
I also like how Hillary's pantsuit matches the tata girls.

Date: 2008-01-20 12:07 am (UTC)I got defriended over it within about 5 minutes of posting it. Once so far.
The point was not the content but the editorial choice of it as the content.
::slinks off to bad sexist corner::

Date: 2008-01-20 01:02 am (UTC)More the first, since I can do a pretty good sexist imitation for effect.
The sad thing? That tabloid picture and the connected story replaced the one which had been up all day, about a prosecution currently going on here against operators of a Chinese sex-shop chain. There was a serious dialog in that about whether the oppressed workers were in it consensually or not. Now that got shoved over to the right so we could see Hillary greeting her supporters.
