Despite all the stress of recent days, it's good to know that there's still plenty passing for levity around here.
This morning, for instance, after we had a tragic near-homicide in our aquarium (Emily had tried transferring her bedroom fish into our main tank, and he promptly got his tail bitten off by Gene, our largest goldfish who's about the size of a small-mouth bass), everything eventually got moved around and settled down. I then showered for church, and found a red med of some unknown persuasion under the medicine cabinet.
I brought it out to the living room and this ensued:
Me: Is someone missing a red pill?
Cameron: Oh. That's mine.
Me: You want it, or did you take the blue one instead?
Cam, after getting the reference: Yeah, that's it.
Me: Okay then. I wondered why there was a scary guy in a black trenchcoat out in our front yard.
Speaking of scary people: We've had some more looker-seers today at our neighbor's just-listed house next door, but unlike the first ones to show up last night, these guys just sat in their car in the driveway, taking notes or googling things. Which is fine; just don't go traipsing around the back yard or sticking your noses up to the windows.
