captainsblogI started getting notices a week or so ago that Portlandia was doing a "directors cut" of one of their S2 episodes, "Brunch Village." IFC was rather obtuse about whether it was included in our iTunes season pass, but come first thing Saturday, there it was in my inbox, twice the length of the original ep.
We watched tonight, and it split roughly half between the original content and a massively tongue-in-cheek "making-of" piece. They added music, and cast, and a backstory that makes massive fun of so many of these self-promotional DVD "extras."
