My dear HMO, Buffalo's own Independent Health, which just jacked up our rates by the usual obscene annual percentage, has been putting our money to good use coming up with clever new ad campaigns.  Tonight, they bought time during the Heroes episode, to introduce their new feature- a team of highly trained medical professionals you can talk to, day or night, about your health questions. They can even save you, as the very cheerleader-like Independent Health member in the commercial tonight supposedly was, from a life-threatening bout with Sylar eating your brains out a pulmonary embolism.

The ad campaign's name for this faboo new service?

Check it at their official site right here.

Or just keep reading- because someone's already caught onto this nonsense and posted a picture of one of their billboards for the rollout:

Funny, I always thought advertising types were real geeky. Obviously, though, the ones at this agency didn't have any background in Star Trek.

Not to mention that an insurance company probably doesn't want to advertise during Heroes anyway. I can just imagine what their membership card would look like:

Every time I see that billboard I think to myself, "The RedShirt Treatment?! Holy shit, they want to kill us!"
