Well, whatever it was, it ain't bothering him anymore:

Meet Elwood "Bunky" Bartlett, a Maryland wiccan (warlock? wizard? I get so confused), and one of the four winners of this weekend's humongous multistate Megamillions lottery.

He and his wife were on their way to the New Age bookstore when they decided to stop in at the liquor store and play some numbers.

I need to start either drinking more or working on better spells. Maybe both.

Some help for the chakras is in order, wherever we can find it. Eleanor and I both awoke today, first day back for me anyway, to sore throats and general feelings of physical yuckiness. I plodded through my four appointments and wound up having a decent day; she left work after an hour and is healing here.

Much of that time today's been spent on the phone with various school officials. Word apparently got out that our subdivision got overlooked on the bus schedule, and that Emily's last name was semi-officially changed to "Walker." Mention was made of her never registering for bus transportation, which comes as news, since other than kindergarten she hasn't registered for it any of the other ten years we've been here, either, and buses came anyway.

Until it's worked out, I'll be on early morning call.

Back, briefly, to the Hogwarts Patrol. Something reminded me of the Coen Brothers' "Big Lebowski" yesterday, so I watched it last night. Awesome fun, as all their stuff is, but I missed an odd moment which Em caught instantly:

"It's b-b-b-b-b-b-b-HIM!!!!," she exclaimed.

The him in question was Maude Lebowski's artsy-fartsy sort-of boyfriend Knox Harrington (no relation, I presume, to any art galleries or twins I might know;), who she immediately recognized as being played by a much younger David Thewlis. Yes,

THAT David Thewlis. Only no wand, and presumably no Lotto ticket.

Wow, almost 5 already. Off to make some dinner and see about performing a Reiki healing on my wallet:)

I know Bunky. He is an asshole. It's personal. I specifically dislike him for certain harsh actions he did and uninformed statements he made about me and a number of my friends.

Ill fortune often happens to those who win the lottery. Perhaps a trickster god/goddess helped him win this prize for their own amusement. Time will tell.

I'm betting he starts selling those papers you can buy at the new agey stores that tell you how to pick lottery numbers.
