Yet there's one, perhaps above all, that positively sings.
Not with notes on a staff, but with notes from the lives of four (and occasionally more), none of whom I've ever met but all of whom I adore.
Each entry is carefully measured. In each, the words run the scale from ordinary to stupendous. Sometimes all at the same time.
If there is a journal full of grace notes among the ones I read, this one would be it.
And today, the music says DC al compleanno- and says it to the wondrous mother, wife and dear Friend that is
