seeing how the branch in question is kitty-corner to the M&T branch I use for most of my own banking.

But then, how could you be?

Amherst police are investigating a reported robbery this morning at the Charter One Bank on Kensington Avenue, near Harlem Road.

Police were called to the bank, at 1964 Kensington, at 11:13 a.m. today, said Assistant Chief Timothy M. Green.

Details were sketchy, but the initial report was that three armed men, dressed as females, robbed the bank and fled in a black vehicle, Green said.

Rather than getting all nervous, I have a sudden urge to break into song:

I go rob banks,
I wear high heels,
Suspendees and a bra
I hope there ain't no dye pack
To wreck me masca-ra.

That's not only unoriginal, but unoriginal twice removed. Somebody on metaquotes already appropriated the Lumberjack Song earlier today, in a comic twist to a very serious discussion about LJ/Six Apart hypocrisy. Why, went the thread, are the suits so gaga about shutting down users and comms for even textual references to forbidden things, when they've done nothing to shut down any of LJ's many pro-ana communities, which are nothing more than swap meets for starvation and upchucking tips.

If you want to get serious about that, there's a petition kicking around someplace asking SA to shut down the bodyabusers. Otherwise, just sing along with the Lumber-ana song here.

We also come to find out that the night before the robbery, the Glen-or-Glendas carjacked the black 2006 Chrysler 300M used to do the crime. And not from any ordinary victim, but from famed local basketball player Tim Winn. You'd think this guy would have had enough problems in life, what with his college team- St. Bonaventure University The Acme School of Industrial Welding- suspending him for assault, but he's gone on to a respectable academic career at a local charter school, and now this. He even had to go home to get a second set of keys after the APD recovered the vehicle, since they need the pair left in the car for evidence.

Oh, and yes. The dye pack did explode, so Homeys in Heels didn't even get the money in the end.

As a recovering bulimic, I was amazed at how many pro-ed communities there were on LJ. I went looking for a support community, but Judas Priest I was looking for support FOR RECOVERY, not a how-to page! And btw, as a bulimic for almost 22 years, I don't need a "how-to." I could probably give lessons. Hey maybe I'll start my own community: So You Think You can Purge?
