More than 30 people have killed themselves by jumping from the Empire State Building since it opened in 1931.

Bloody pikers. The Golden Gate Bridge opened five years later and over 1300 people have suicided off of it -- not counting "suicide by automobile" type "accidents," of which there have been a few, but those shouldn't be counted as the ESB has no real equivalent capacity.
