Graham's come quite a ways in the past year, particularly when you consider the life form he's been partly in charge of these past nine months

And you'll soon be getting a cool countryperson back, for Melissa joins you in birthdaying today and will be joining you as a loyal subject sometime in a few months once Cardiff and the other Giants get their arses in gear and enable her to finish the education she so richly deserves:)

To ABC Television, for not providing sufficient warning of just quite what I was getting into last night.

No hockey, no baseball, no hoops and no movies, and a pile of wash to fold, so what the hey, I said, I'll finally watch last week's Lost.

Note to sensitive viewers: do not watch last week's Lost right before bed, particularly the night before a doctor's appointment you're on edge about anyway.  The weird dreams resulting from THAT episode rivaled anything I've managed to come up with in months.

To the Asian Investment Alert pump-and-dump stock scammers who insisted on sending me a fax of their latest swill at two. Freaking. O'CLOCK. In the morning. Okay, I get the Asian part, but could you send them at some time of the day when we're both awake?  And due to some leftover paperwork from the case I settled late yesterday, I did consider it remotely possible it was from a client or the other side (they being entitled to fax me if they so choose at that hour, me not particularly advertising the fact that their faxes come in about three feet from the head of my bed) so I did have to get up and inspect it, thus taking a good hour to get back to sleep at that point.

To the animals in this house, who were unusually early in their mooch runs yesterday morning and night, but who perhaps felt sorry for the interruption of this just-past overnight and actually let me "sleep in" until almost 6:15 and went about their routine in time for me to fall back to sleep in relative peace.

To the returning champions on last night's Jeopardy!, including squonk_npl, who gave it another good go but did pass the torch to one of his other two buddies. The final answer was a seriously evil one this time, which I was 50/50 about going right down to the 30th second, and I suspect I would have guessed wrong on it as I historically do on 50/50s. But it was nice to see the good feelings that were clearly there among everyone, and nicer still to read Scott's comments about it this morning.

The scene about halfway through with Patch Adams (I don't even know his real name, that's what Television Without Pity's been calling him), where he crosses the line and the line crosses back. I'm just too squeamish for that kind of stuff.

And I guess while I'm at it,




to TWoP, which can never seem to get a recap up even five full days after the episode aired, so I now do have to go back and finish the thing on account of all the loose ends from the first half only partially explained in the recaplet.

I've never gotten into Lost. I'm not sure why. Maybe because there is currently enough drama and mystery in my life.
