North Carolina voters appear to have bought into the anti-gay rhetoric, memorializing a homophobic amendment to their state constitution right up there with the attempted nullification of Brown v. Board of Education, the last sea-change that swept right past them.

Meanwhile, in the further northern and sensible state of Indiana, voters retired Dick Lugar on Tuesday after 36 years in the Senate, punishing him for the qualities he considered assets: seniority, expertise in foreign policy and a penchant for bipartisan cooperation.

Can't have any of THAT in this country with a socialist Marxist Nazi Kenyan Muslim running for re-election, can we?

I'm going to bed before it gets any worse.

I will take a job anywhere in the UK, EU, Oz, NZ or Canada to avoid going back to the US. I'm just so disgusted.
