Not the latest Apple project, that, but just the story of my life today and the rest of this week.  It happened today, as it seemingly always does, that my last day before a planned extended out-of-town trip was just incredibly long and intense. The Rochester court hearing at the center of it was too long and complicated; I had too many other appointments and errands surrounding it; it was too cold (and, ever so briefly, snowy-sleety); and I likely will get out of here too late afternoon tomorrow, which means not much time at my sister's tomorrow night before heading to the conference at Hofstra on Thursday.

Yet I'm still seriously looking forward to this once-in-a-lifetime chance to share a lifelong passion with friends, fellow bloggers, media representatives and even a few of my own early-childhood Mets heroes.  I'll be on the Oiland from late Thursday morning to early Saturday afternoon, aiming then to make the return trip home in one straight shot after that so I can rejoin Eleanor and the rest of the brood by the end of that day.

Anyone in or around Hempstead, New York in that range is welcome to join us for some Amazin'Amazin'Amazin' academic proceedings. Otherwise, look for word on the usual blogs, and possibly on Youtube, as the event unfolds:)  I'll have the laptop with me, and depending on connections, I may be able to update in transit. If I can't, enjoy the rest of your weeks:)
